Rest Amongst Life’s Hustle

Okay! Everybody face the camera!

Okay! Everybody face the camera!

It’s important to find rest amongst life’s ever busy never ending to do list life. When you really think about it, you remember the times you said “Yes!” to the impromptu adventure with a friend. You don’t remember the second Tuesday of the first week of last August that you binge watched that one show on the couch eating tater tots and croutons. Let’s be honest , half of you know exactly what I’m talking about and the other half are trying to figure out how there was two Tuesdays in the first week of last August. All I can say it 2020 was weird. The whole point of this is to encourage you to say YES! Hit the big pause button on your busy life and go make a memory with someone you enjoy spending time with.

I have only seen Millie enjoy the river up to her ankles for the last couple of years. That was until this evening when she saw me taking Remi out acclimating him on the ways of the doggy paddle that she showed interest. After picking her up and taking her out, she swam back to shore and took off running around with excitement. She then came back to me on the shore and we repeated the event half a dozen more times.

It’s amazing how if you slowly lower a dog into the water, the doggy paddle automatically kicks in. After lowering him down, and back up, and back down, and back up it was clear that the doggy paddle system was turning on and off by instinct and he was ready to swim back to shore! We did this several times and he did great!

Remi, after about 8 swimming sessions across the river. You can’t tell in this photo but he still had a ton of energy and was enjoying his puppy life to the full extent!

I have to hand it to my best friend, every day with her is a day filled with Joy and new adventures. I would say that we are pretty balanced when it comes to being spontaneous and the other person is always on board for a new adventure or impromptu photo shoot. Today was the perfect example of me texting her, “Let’s go to the river tonight!” and her response, “YES!”. Another great example was her asking me if I was up to adopt Remi, in which my response was also Yes. Obviously. haha, which was another great decision.

I mean come on!
