Teagan - 1 Month Old

That’s right! Our baby girl is 1 month old and it has been one heck of a ride. Right out of the gate we had a whirlwind of appointments and follow ups from the birth to check up on steph and teagan. We were meeting with lactationists, our midwives, a craniosacral theripist, and many more.

Even though steph and teagan were healthy, we still had a lot of details to get the hang of. Nursing did not start out great and we needed to supplement from a bottle for the first week. Teagan was born with a toungue tie and lip tie that was aiding trouble to the nursing process. Two days after teagan was born everyone but steph and teagan came down with a cold, cough, and body aches.

On top of all of that I feel like we went to town more this first month than any time in the past. But it was great to have all the help we had.

Once we felt like we were finally getting things figured out we got teagans toungue tie releases and that made her pretty sore and fussy for a few weeks. But she is healing up really well.

As soon as that started to pass, steph got mastitis and came down with a fever. This also left us with little sleep and with more trips to town to see the doctor. As of now, steph and teagan are doing well but still walking through the care process of that.

We are hoping for a great 2nd month but are just belssed by the help and support that we have around us. Big picture we are all pretty healthy outside of some small things that we are walking through or healing from but we know the Lord is holding us and nothing catches Him by supprise.
